National Incident Management System Compliance
An individual at each level of the ARES organization should be designated to maintain the training records for each member (part of the compliance requirement). At the Section level, the Assistant SEC has been designated to maintain records for all ECs and above. You may forward E-mail completion notices to the to verify completion or mail copies of completion certificates. A database will be maintained of all those who have completed the required training.
The following is a table prepared by OHS/GEMA of the baseline training guidelines for various management levels as well as the basic training required of all members designated as first responders. These courses are available free of charge on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Independent Study program website.
