Good Afternoon Folks,
I am in the process of putting pieces together to "move" the main remote
base repeater for the NWS in Peachtree City. (W4PSZ 444.600 in
Fayetteville) The tower on which it is on will be taken down to make
the property more "sell able" for the owner.
We are in talks with the state at this time to get on another tower in
the area, however we have to have equipment ready to go up on it. The
main thing we are missing is hardline. We are going to need somewhere
around 300 to 350' of line, preferably 7/8" but would use 1/2" if we
have too. We are also going to need some hardline for the remote base
antenna and that probably needs to be in the 200' range. We do have
access to some CATV line if need be as well for the remote if need be,
but would prefer the 50 ohm hardline.
The Fayette Co. Repeater Club is also going to need some hardline as
well for their repeater which will go on the same tower.
Because we (*I*) am funding this myself...any donation of hardline would
be wonderful! If at a "cheap" price would possibly work as well. $ is
a issue since we are going to probably have to "hire" professionally
"bonded" climbers to do the work....that will cost and possibly take all
the cash set aside for this.
I am going to Laweranceville and could do some pickup from there if need be.
Thanks,
Robert Burton
