Susan and all,

All TelPac nodes report their status when they are online and anyone can
check this any time they want at:

http://winlink.org/status/TelpacStatus.aspx

For a real time map of Telpac stations look here:

http://winlink.org/positions/telpacpos.aspx

On this map a green pin indicates that the node is current Yellow means it
was heard within the last 12 hours and red means older than 12
hours. Clicking the callsign or Grid square columns will sort on that
parameter. Clicking on a pin or the callsign in the list will display the
stations info and status and even allow you to set an RSS feed for that node.

Furthermore, any Telpac node can announce its position via APRS using the
internet. If the local IGATE operator allows these can be resent on
144.390. It is also possible of the gateway itself to announce its user
parameters on its operating frequency using the APRS protocol. This allows
the new operator to obtain the necessary operational parameters without
needing to ask. All in all the system is remarkably well designed to
enhance the user experience. It is a far cry from the old packet routing
nightmares.

Here are the nodes that where on the air within the last 24 hours in
Georgia. As noted some are in the testing phase. To connect to these just
use Airmail and one of the listed TNC's and connect to the given callsign-SSID.
