I am sorry if some of you might be getting this 4 TIMES but I feel that
this is important that we do this. Folks on the WX4PTC ops
emailer...you have already heard this. This is mainly pointed at the
state ARES and any other spotters in the WFO for the Peachtree City NWS
area.

PLEASE DEBRIEF YOUR GROUPS. We need to bring reports to the state ARES
so we can all work together to make the local AND STATE Skywarn Spotter
system even better. Great work by many spotters out in the effected
areas.

Even though I constantly barrage our team (WX4PTC) with...."how can we
make it better"?.... I am VERY proud of the work these op.s did as NCS
at WX4PTC. Bet you didn't know that the majority of the op.s came from
several hours of training at the 911 center and went DIRECTLY to the NWS
to work (about 3 to 4 more hours). I am not looking for praise from the
state on this. I just need to point out A) How proud I am of these guys
and B) How many hats some of these folks have.

I will leave you with this however. PLEASE MENTION THIS ON EVERY ARES
TYPE NET IN THE ENTIRE STATE! A) Don't ask for general weather reports
during a severe wx net. B) If quarter, golf ball, TENNIS BALL size
hail is being reported....unless it is asked for...don't report pea size
hail. That is not under the severe category. C) If net control ask you
to stand by...THEN STAND BY! You really have no idea the intenseness of
what goes on behind the scenes until you live it yourself (at the NWS
during an outbreak as we had.

Let's keep any suggestions or cuts of WX4PTC to me; kd4ydc at juno dot
com . I will be bringing some things back to the table myself from our
debrief.

Understand, 2 lives were lost yesterday. We have to constantly better
"our wheel" to help serve the public and the agencies we represent.
This outbreak in the eyes of WX4PTC was close if not worse than the
outbreak of 98'. We had 12 pages of storm reports. The other
Sunday...Lynn and I had 3. We thought that was a lot ;-)

Great work from everyone. Thanks to all those who help in some way.
