The Radiogram form, along with the normal ICS-213 and will now be part of the State Traffic Net. This additional form will provide variety for net participants in addition to becoming proficient with this communications method.
The Radiogram form is available in FLMSG under the FORM tab like the ICS-213 form. The Radiogram form will be used every 2nd and 4th Sunday. Send a Radiogram message instead of the ICS-213. See links to videos (Quick Links, Digital heading) for those who are not familiar with completing a Radiogram or want a refresh. Our weekly nets are a great time to practice these other forms and be prepared to use them if the need arises.
Using and sending the Radiogram is 100% volunteer and the standard ICS-213 will still be accepted during the weekly nets.
Attached is an example of how to fill out the Radiogram for our net purposes. A major difference is we do not have an address to send the form. Use the NCS call sign and GA ARES Digital Traffic Net. Please change it to your location, phone number for this training is optional, and the text in your message can be worded as you like up to 25 words.
SECRET TRICK on FLMSG: type in your text message and then click the CK (check) button (in preamble). It will automatically count the words, put your message in the proper format, and add the count to the check box.
NOTE: The mode in the screenshot should be MT63-1KS
Thanks to Kory, W4RZ for creating these instructions and participating as a Digital NCS.
