NET MANAGER’S COMMENTS ON TRAINING:
The experience level of those participating weekly in the GAARES-P2P Net has come a long way since the initial Trials for this net started nearly 11 months ago. Just look at this past week’s performance line by line! With your help and dedication, the Trials turned into an official net in September. I am so very proud of all of you for taking on the training challenges each week since then. The Net has really matured.
That said, I find that I need to step back some on the Net’s training effort. Simply put, I just cannot continue this pace, spending 20++ hours each week developing and executing new training. K5MEG and I both need more time to participate in other aspects of ham radio that we enjoy and have not been able to do this past few months, as well as so many other things in our lives. In addition, my duties on the Steering Committee and head of Training and Exercise Development at EDM – Emcomm Direct Messaging, have taken a significant hit these past few months. I need more time to devote to those duties.
Rest assured, I am fully committed to this Net. However, new training scenarios will be cut down to one or sometimes two times a month. The net will continue to operate weekly with subject line check-in or simple form check-in. Written Training Sections will follow suit. Net Summaries most weeks will be much less detailed. Now for this week:

In addition, you will learn how to generate a map of stations sending Position Reports.
