The new badge design offers better readability for the operator’s name and callsign. The expiration date is the same as the current license expiration date in the FCC database.
The badge does not carry any type of authority, but it does provide the supported organization with proof that the volunteer communicator has successfully passed a background check and completed the established training requirements.
The requirements to qualify for the badge are here.
Thanks to Ken, KM4HOS for agreeing to use his badge in this post, and thanks to Dianne, KY4BN for template design and production.
Hey Lee, good grief, now you’ve given everybody my pic, so they can blow it up to a 3×5 suitable for use as the bull’s eye on their dart boards, yuk, yuk. Nice badge, got it yesterday in the mail, thx, have a good one, Ken
