Some changes have been made to the districts for Georgia. There is no longer a Metro District. The counties previously in Metro have been transitioned to other adjoining districts. Also, a few other counties not in the Metro District were moved to a new district.
The district assignment for each county can be confirmed using the following process:
- Open the GA ARES® website.
- Click on ‘Local Leaders’ in the menu bar.
- Enter the name of your county in the ‘County’ search box.
- The district to which the county is assigned will be included in the search results.
