NEW PARTICIPANTS WELCOME: The GAARES-P2P Sunday net is a training & check-in Net. You may check in at any time during the Net by simply sending a check-in message using the instructions for each week. Check-in on both bands if you want. Once you send a check-in message, you are released.
GA AUXCOMM COMMEX – SAT MAR 22:
GA AUXCOMM invites GAARES members to participate in the Comm Exercise on Saturday, Mar 22nd. This year, Vara P2P will be utilized for messaging, similar to what GA ARES did for the SET last fall. The P2P period will be 10am-12noon local time on Saturday. Both the Atlanta SOC and the Forsyth SOC will be on the air during those two hours, each on 40m but on different frequencies. Stations checking in with either NCS should expect to be TASKED. Please, no beginners for this exercise – you must have a Vara license and be proficient at P2P ops. We will provide more information next week.
