If you do not subscribe to that site, you are highly encouraged to do so. The weekly net update does not format very well here so is not in this posting. However, one important announcement is included, the establishment of contingency frequencies for each band. That paragraph is as follows:
NEW: New contingency frequencies have been established in the event a band’s primary frequency is unusable for any reason. Make note of these frequencies: save to a phone contact and favorites in Winlink Express. This plan is for all P2P Ops, including actual Emcomm.
| GAARES P2P CONTINGENCY Frequencies: To be used for each band if the primary frequency is unusable due to continuous QRM such as RTTY contests, RMS station use, or intentional interference. 80m-Backup: Center Freq 3570.0 kHz (Dial Freq 3568.5) 40m-Backup: Center Freq 7070.0 kHz (Dial Freq 7068.5) Contingency When Unable to Send Msgs to a Tactical Address:For all operations (nets, exercises, or actual events), if the tactical address is not enabled / not working, address the message to the callsign of the station you are connecting to, normally WG4PTP. |
