Severe Weather Net Basics by Robert Burton, KD4YDC
This module provides insights on how to be prepared for a severe weather event and how to operate as the Net Control Station. Being responsible for the net is a stressful situation and knowing what to expect is a benefit to successfully providing valuable emergency communications support.
ARES Support to Emergency Operations Centers by Jim Millsap, K9APD
This module explains the mission of ARES members providing emergency communications support for an Emergency Operations Center. Having the appropriate expectations of the activities in the EOC during an incident is very valuable in order to provide effective emergency communications support.
These modules are for GA ARES members. The modules can be accessed by:
1. Login to the GA ARES website.
2. Click on Document Library on the main menu bar.
3. Click on the ‘All Members’ folder.
4. Click on the ‘Training Modules’ folder.
5. The modules will then be available for preview and/or download.
Alternate Method
1. Login to the GA ARES website.
2. Click on Document Library on the main menu bar.
3. Enter text in the ‘Search’ field. For example – EOC
